You’re
invited to
take part in our playful weekend just for
your school-age grandkids and yourselves. Just think, a
weekend for the two—or three or four—of you away from
their parents (your grown children!) When was the last time you
had exclusive time together just for the two of you?
Shirley Neff, that grand lady of all things artsy and crafty, is
back by popular demand to lead this grand getaway. Every summer
Shirley shares her creative gifts with kids at the Carmichael
Presbyterian Church Vacation Bible School. And during the year
she does the same with children of incarcerated parents and for
adults with physical limitations. And she hones her painting gifts
by taking part in Zephyr Point’s Kaleidoscope, our retreat for artists
and creative souls.
Shirley plans interactive arts and crafts projects suitable for
kids and grandparents to do together and she will furnish all
the materials you’ll need. You’ll have hand-made mementos
to take home afterwards. Before bedtime that weekend, you’ll
participate in fun and games with the other grandparents and
grandkids.
But creative projects aren’t the only thing you’ll enjoy. You’ll
have loads of time for walks and hikes, sandcastle building on
the beach, reading together, playing games, and enjoying nature
on the shores of Lake Tahoe. And just think, absolutely no time
is required for planning and cooking meals. We do it all.
Take some treasured
time to create memories
and mementos of your
special weekend together
