Finding Satisfaction in God
So often we go through life anxious and stressed, seeking to get ahead, striving to make ends meet. We rush and hurry, filling up our calendars. We are running so fast, we don’t know how to slow down. We are busy and yet not satisfied. We are moving faster, but we never catch up. Come for a women’s retreat weekend of rest and renewal where Rev. Dr. Pamela Anderson will speak to us about finding peace and satisfaction and “breathing space” with God.
- Friday Evening: – Satisfying Your Thirsty Soul
- Saturday Morning: – Shining Your Light Even When You Feel Shattered (Art project to follow)
- Saturday Evening: – Self Care as a Spiritual Practice
- Sunday Morning: – Satisfaction Guaranteed – (followed by communion)
Rev. Dr. Pamela Anderson is the solo pastor of Countryside Community Church in Esparto, CA. She has been there for over 8 years and her job description consists of “everything”. Prior to her time in Esparto she spent 7 years serving churches in Australia. She was one of seventeen ministers at Wesley Mission in Sydney where she was the pastor for the 7pm Congregation and lecturer and coordinator for their Generation X programs. Pamela was also a regular voice on Sydney’s 2GB national radio program and was interviewed by many national television programs and newspapers. She was also at St. Michael’s Uniting Church in Melbourne where she coordinated over 80 programs, was the “Marriage Minister” and the speaker and coordinator for the Cairnmillar Institute’s poplular Singles lecture series.
Pamela is married to her husband Marc who is a St. Louis Cardinals fan and she is a Chicago Cubs fan. Pamela of course thinks the Cubs are better, but her husband likes to point out that the Cubs haven’t won a world series since 1908! They have a beautiful little girl by the name of Charlene Sydney whose nickname is “Charlie”. Charlie is 7 years old and her favorite color is “all of them”.
Pamela is an engaging and entertaining speaker and she is really looking forward to the women’s retreat in 2010 and sincerely hopes that you will be able to attend. See you then!
