Volunteer

Zephyr Point was founded by people who have a passion to give of their time and talent. We are dependent on people to help in the following ways:

  • Provide clean-up and help with beautification projects (i.e. gardening and planting)
  • Assist with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and etc.
  • Volunteer remotely, help design promotional materials & content
  • Help with various office projects
  • Assist with Special Events and Fundraising

Zephyr Point holds 2 Volunteer Programs every year, in the spring and fall called “Sprucing Up in the Pines“.

Volunteer Opportunities

The main purpose of this volunteer opportunity is to provide general labor for Zephyr Point. Projects are scheduled in accordance with Zephyr Point priorities. All volunteer groups must provide the following:

  • Email our Executive Administrative Assistant to discuss your group’s request to volunteer
  • Have all members of the volunteer group complete and return a Volunteer Application 14 days prior to arrival date
  • Leaders need to fill out a Volunteer timesheet for the group when on-site
  • Volunteers may be eligible for a free meal, according to availability

Zephyr Point appreciates all of our volunteers, including hosting Volunteer Groups who need housing. The main purpose of volunteer opportunities are to provide general labor for Zephyr Point. Projects are scheduled in accordance with Zephyr Point priorities, mission, vision and values. See details below tor the process of booking a Volunteer experience with housing needed:

  • First, either submit the Interest Form or Volunteer Application (both linked above)
  • You will be put in contact with the Executive Administrative Assistant to discuss Zephyr Point’s availability and capacity for volunteers as well as your Volunteer Group’s requests for volunteering.
  • Once confirmed, you will go through our standard booking process with the Guest Services Department and follow our normal booking policies and procedures. 
  • We offer discounted housing to our volunteers in appreciation for you service. 
    • We provide free housing for the incoming night, then discounted lodging per volunteer work day, dependent on number of hours worked (assigned by Zephyr Point according to availability):
    • Housing discounts per workday:
      • Full workday (7-8 hours) = 100% discount per full workday
      • Half workday (3-4 hours) = 50% discount per half workday
      • Quarter workday (2 hours) = 25% discount per quarter workday
  • One meal is provided free of charge for volunteers on the day they are working IF a Zephyr Point dining hall is already serving meals
    • If no meals are being served, then Volunteers will be responsible for their own meals
    • Volunteers for a specific Zephyr Point Event will follow the meal guidelines for that event
  • Volunteers have the option to purchase additional meals, following our standard rates and booking policies and procedures

The main purpose of this role is to provide care for our Summer camp participants and staff. This is a seasonal volunteer opportunity. Only available during the weeks of our summer youth programs. Volunteers must be available for a full week at a time. Depending on availability multiple weeks may be accommodated.  Volunteers must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a licensed nurse. Priority goes to nurses who have either had specific pediatric patient experience or has worked with youth in other settings.
  • Complete and return a Volunteer Application 30 days prior to arrival date.
  • Complete and pass the background check process. 
  • Be available to volunteer Monday-Friday 8am – 4pm, but also to be on call for our Summer Staff, should a need arise after hours

Room and Board Information:

  • Housing: All volunteers will be housed on-site in one of our private cabins for the duration of your stay at camp. Lodging will be available starting the Saturday before your camp week through the Saturday after your camp week.
  • Meals: Dinner will be provided in our dinning hall facilities during your week as well as a modest food stipend, of $200/week  that you can use to buy groceries

The main purpose of this role is to welcome guests and help direct traffic entering the property.

  • Volunteers needed from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend each year
  • Shifts are scheduled in 2-4 hour increments
  • Complete a Volunteer Application and email it to kelsey@zephyrpoint.org
  • A Volunteer nametag will be provided
  • Volunteers may be eligible for a free meal, according to availability
  • Training and ongoing support is provided
  • Volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer timesheet & turn it in at the end of each shift

The purpose of this role is to assist our Grounds and Facilities department with construction projects. Due to ongoing projects and we are always in need of skilled volunteers. If you have any of the following skills please contact us.

The purpose of this role is to assist all departments in creating & editing photos and videos for marketing & social media content.  If you have any of the following skills please contact us.

  • Video production & editing
  • Photography (Drone Photography)

The purpose of this role is to assist all departments in creating & editing marketing & social media content. Interns & students (18+yrs old) are welcome to apply for this volunteer opportunity, it is a great chance to build your portfolio and add to your resume/experience.   • WordPress/Elementor Website developer
  • Graphic Design

  • Social Media content creator or social media influencer
  • Journalism or Editing
