We have a variety of different positions at our volunteers to work at during our Spectacular Halloween Fair. There is more information below about the different volunteer opportunities. Take a moment to read through these descriptions to help you think through what might be the most enticing opportunity for you. When you fill out the Volunteer Interest Form above, it will ask for general preferences on where you’d like to work at the event. We can’t guarantee that everyone will get their first preference, but we will do our best to place you where you want to be.

 

General role: Being part of the fair game rotation means that you will rotate through 7 different fair games throughout the night. Your main task will be to help run one game at a time and pass out candy after a kid plays the game. 

Setting expectation: Fair game volunteers can expect to be outdoors all night and on their feet most of the night. Fair game volunteers will receive anywhere from 1-3 breaks for 10-15 minutes each. Fair games will be open from 5:00pm-8:00pm 

Fair games include: 

  • Ring toss
  • Can Toss
  • Gone Fishin 
  • Unicorn Hunt
  • Football touchdown
  • Disc Catch 
  • Ladder Ball

General role: Zephyr Points Spooktacular Halloween offers free pumpkin decorating for those who pay the entry fee.  Your main task is to help facilitate the table so that kids and adults get the colors they need while keeping the area organized and tidy. Part of the job of this volunteer is to help restock as needed. 

Setting expectation: Being a pumpkin decorating volunteer means you will be outdoors the whole night. You will be on and off your feet. Pumpkin decorating volunteers can expect to receive 1-3 breaks for 10-15 minutes each throughout the night.

General role: As a face trick-or-treating volunteer, you will help set up/decorate cabins as needed and pass out candy as kids come around. 

Setting expectation: Being a trick-or-treating volunteer means you will be outdoors the whole night. You will be mostly seated throughout the night. You can expect 1-3 breaks for 10-15 minutes each throughout the night.

 

 

General role: When working the tractor ride station of Spooktacular Halloween the primary jobs are to help facilitate the line for the ride, to be on the hayride, and to drive the tractor (for Zephyr Point employees only). 

Setting expectation: Being a tractor ride volunteer means you will be outdoors the whole night. You will be on and off your feet throughout the night. You can expect 1-3 breaks for 10-15 minutes each throughout the night.

General role: When working the parking for Spooktacular Halloween the primary jobs are to help facilitate the traffic coming in and out of Zephyr Point, direct people to where the event check-in is, and to manage efficient parking in all lots. 

Setting expectation: Being a parking volunteer means you will be outdoors the whole night. You will be on and off your feet throughout the night. You can expect 1-3 breaks for 10-15 minutes each throughout the night.

General role: Food Booth volunteers run the food stands and beverage offerings of the event. The main role of food booth volunteers is to collect food tickets and hand participants the food item of their choice. Our Food Service Employees will be the ones preparing and handling all food, but volunteers will help collect tickets.

Setting expectation: Being a food service volunteer means you will be outdoors the whole night. You will be primarily on your feet throughout the night. You can expect 1-3 breaks for 10-15 minutes each throughout the night.

 

General role: Volunteer floaters are an essential piece to the event flowing smoothly. Floaters main role is to run errands across the event, offer breaks to other volunteers, and do other varied tasks that come up during the event. Floaters will also take turns watching the Bounce hHouse to ensure everyone is being safe and following the rules. Floaters will also keep an eye on the Photo Booth to make sure everything is going well there. 

Setting expectation: Being a floater volunteer means you will be outdoors the whole night. You will be on and off your feet throughout the night. You can expect 1-3 breaks for 10-15 minutes each throughout the night.
