jumping-waterAt Summer Basecamp at Zephyr Point, Middle and High School students are invited to experience God through education, exploration, and inspiration!

Join us at Summer Basecamp for a life-changing week on the shores of Lake Tahoe! What better way to spend a week of your summer than meeting new friends, going on outdoor adventures, playing wild games, and engaging in conversations about life and faith?

At Summer Basecamp, you will:

  • Cultivate friendships (both old and new) and make memories that will last a lifetime
  • Have the chance to engage in conversations about God and faith, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey
  • Care for and learn from Creation through a variety of activities, including hiking, kayaking/paddle boarding, or a high ropes course
  • Laugh until you cry at our awesome lineup of evening activities, including skit nights and dance parties
  • Grow in your understanding that you are a beloved child of God!
 

Basecamp is a 5-night residential camp experience (Sunday-Friday). Campers will stay in dorm-style housing and all meals are provided. All outdoor activities will be accessible to beginners and enjoyable for all levels of experience.

Church groups as well as individual participants are invited to register. Individual registration opens January 28th, 2025 at 9am. If you are youth pastor or other church representative that would like to register a group of students, please contact us at programs@zephyrpoint.org

5:00 PM – Hubbard Hang-out

Safety is a priority at Zephyr Point. All of our Summer staff is CPR and First Aid certified, and campers are always  supervised by certified American Red Cross lifeguards while swimming, kayaking, and any other activities by the water. In addition COVID-19 precautions will be taken as necessary according to state and county mandates.

Medical forms
All campers will be required to complete the 2025 Child-Youth Medical Form prior to the start of camp. This will be on your registration page and will open 45 days before the first week of camp. We will send email reminders to everyone. Camp Zephyr requires new, up-to-date medical forms each summer. We cannot let campers participate without receiving these forms prior to their arrival at camp.

Zephyr Point is accredited by the American Camp Association. This important accreditation highlights our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, enriching, and high-quality camp experience for all of our campers. The ACA accreditation process is rigorous, involving a thorough review of our programs, staff qualifications, safety standards, facilities, and overall camp operations. As an accredited camp, we have met or exceeded more than 200 standards for health, safety, and program quality established by the ACA, a leading authority in the camping industry.

The official packing list will be sent out to families one month prior to the start of camp, but check out our 2024 Basecamp Packing List to help prepare for camp.

  • Non-refundable $100 deposit due with registration 
  • Registration and Balance due 14 days before event start date

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy (Overnight Camps): 

All deposits are non-refundable after payment is made. Cancellations one month before the start date of the program are eligible for a refund or transfer of entire registration fee minus deposit to a different program within the year.  Cancellations within one month before the start date of the program are eligible for a 50% refund or transfer of entire registration fee minus deposit to a different program within the year. Cancellation within two weeks of the start date of the program will receive no refund. Registrations paid will be eligible to transfer to a different program within that year.

Group cancellation policy differs from the above cancellation policy, please contact the program office to learn more. 

Cell Phones 

Zephyr Point strongly encourages all campers to leave cell phones at home during their time at camp.  Parents may choose to have their camper bring their phone to camp, but Zephyr Point will be enforcing appropriate phone usage with limited times where phones are permitted. Zephyr Point will be collecting cell phones at the time of drop off and will allow campers to contact family each day. There may be some additional times that campers are permitted to have their cell phone, but this will be situational. If a camper chooses to leave their phone at home or you need to reach your camper at any point, Program staff can be reached at 775-588-6759 ext. 113 to get you in contact with your camper. 

Zephyr Point can accommodate any combination of Vegetarian, Vegan, Non-dairy, and Non-gluten* diets. We are not able to make special accommodations for food allergies, but invite you to ask food service staff for meal ingredients! Zephyr Point has an excellent salad bar available for all lunches and dinners as an alternative to the regularly scheduled meal.

* Zephyr Point does not have a celiac certified kitchen.

Campers will be housed in Hubbard Lodge, a dorm-style building with shared bathroom areas. The building includes three floors and 20 guest rooms containing either two twin beds or 2 twin-over-full bunk beds. 

We do our best to honor roommate requests made during the registration process.

All campers are supervised by our highly-qualified staff at all times while in Hubbard Lodge. Please note: floors are not separated by gender identity, but campers are not permitted to enter other rooms apart from their assigned room.
